4V Badge for grey 4.5V motor back.
(I plan on making a 12V Badge as well)

This badge is intended to be used with both variants of the back (eg. both the one with a middle pin hole and the one without).

I've used quads everywhere I could, please advice me if this is a bad idea (some quads look like triangles, but they are quads). I've avoided making T-junctions.

The hardest part was the inner cond-lines (the ones for the letters), so there could be mistakes there, though so far I haven't found any issues.

subparts need to have a leading "~" at their name, and the name could be simplified a little, so I suggest
0 ~Badge "4V" for Electric Technic Motor 4.5V
as title

The title will be corrected to Steffen's suggestion on next submission.

Should I make edge-lines on the outer rectangle, where the badge meets the motor's back - like the edge-lines inside the letters ?
-If not, should I remove the edge-lines inside the letters ?
Is it possible to get a 'matte' color of the current color ?

I think some of the current condlines need to be normal lines.
For example, the rectangular outer box, and also the 4V cutout.
Deciding between those 2 sometimes is a case of taste, but a normal rule of thumb is "if the curvature of the surface makes a sharp enough turn, then using a normal edge is a good idea".
Regarding the "matte" color question, this sadly currently isn't possible. The LDRAW colors only provide plain colors, no "texture".
This is frequently requested for example for slopes, which have
a different surface texture on their top angled surface frequently.
Maybe a future extension of the LDRAW syntax can allow specifying that :)
Will you be using this subpart in some parent part in the future?

At first I tried having normal edge lines, but rendering didn't look good to me, so I tried cond-lines which I find prettier.

I will only be using the badge for different variants of the 4.5V motor (thus if the user does not specify a different colour, it would be grey), but on the motor, the badge is not glossy. For now it can be glossy, though.
I'll make a submission with an outer edge rectangle (eg. where the badge meets the motor).

Thus I'll leave the cond-lines in there at least after one submission, so that the reviewers can replace '5' with '2' to quickly test and see what looks the best on their platform / renderer.

suggestion: I would better like if this badge would be lying flat on the floor inside this file.
currently it is standing upright, as used later in the parent part.
however, that placement is something the parent would do.
However, that's just my personal taste or how I would do it.

Added outer edge rectangle.

Badge is now 'lying flat on the floor' (upside down - please let me know if this is wrong).

Added comment about positioning.

Hm...
I think it should be both flipped and rotated by 180 degree.
As if it were a sticker.

Much better, I like the "softness" cond-lines create here.
But something needs to be done in the "corners" of the letters "4V".
