Have you tried adding more of the squared carbon pattern into this file? Maybe even the hexagonal border?
I'm thinking, if the hexagonal shape is centered, it must be possible to include more of the design in this subfile.

Well spotted! I have added the missing dark square to the main part.

I have tried to include as much as possible to this subfile. It cannot be mirrored. Because of the pattern direction it must be rotated 180 degrees. And the hexagon is not symmetrical. the top side is smaller than the bottom side. So the elements connecting to the hexagon must remain in the main part file.

I can see that it can't be mirrored.
Are you sure of that the offset position isn't a misprint? Maybe it's intended to in the exact centre?
