Not sure it's a Fresnel lens. According to the photos I found, it looks like a simple diffusing texture.

Nor is it a hologram. I was looking for some kind of description of the effect.
Jangbricks used the word Fresnel lens in his review. Have a look at it here:

Might you be able to reduce file size by using symmetry?

Now that I've seen the effect, I want to get one to see IRL ;)
I kind of agree with Mark, many surfaces could be added to in-between subpart (but I can live with it as it is!)

I don't think I could/should add more without re-arranging, or adding more triangles.
Or are you Mark, thinking on a third subfile using left/right mirroring on the structure around the axlehole?

Sorry, the apparent symmetry fooled me...

Yes, a subpart containing the symmetrical areas around the axlehole is what I was thinking. Also could use some box2-5 primitives around some of the hexagonal chambers.
Is there a reason why axlehole primitives weren't used?

Looks like a left/right mirroring is possible. I'll do that. Thanks.

I didn't use the only axlehole prim that might work, axlehol5, since it's adding internal surfaces that I don't want.
I've now added the axlehol0 prim that is adding lenght/depth info.

Besides that, almost all of the "standard" axlehole primitives are made wrong.
