There is a later version (Type 2) of this spinner (e.g. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=bb0549c01pb01) with a different interface betwen the top and bottom and assembled by moulded pegs rather than loose screws.

Maybe we should have a colour on the metal parts?

Yes, I agree. On this colour 16 shortcut I think the screws (u9522) should be colour 0 and the weight (92552) should be colour 494.

I would prefer colour 83 for the screws as they are made of metal and it solid plastic will look strange in a rendering.

This is the version with color 0 screws, as for the other shortcut 92547c01.
If color 83 is preferred, it must be changed in both parts,

Using code 83, Metallic Black (which is a metallic paint colour) would be incorrect here.
IMHO code 0, (which is a black plastic colour) is also wrong, but the best alternative choise here, since we don't have a code for any black metal.
The screws here appear to be black anodized metal screws. Not shiny at all, a more matte black colour. Visually, black rubber (code 256) would give a correct visual impression.
