I edited the part more.
Using a software T-junction finder results a lot of rounding problems for 12,529 degrees rotation.

I suggest the introduction of a subpart with the part not rotated and/or split in half (introducing some primitive not available).

As I already said in my email I don't think subfiling is worth the fuss.

Based on what information?
AFAIKS the origin is not changed. My backup have the origin in the handle. A fresh download of the official part show the origin in the handle.

Could it be that the ptdatdiff.cgi script creates bad code? That file show a moved origin.

Interesting! As you say, downloading directly from this page shows the origin in the handle as per the official part, but the version of the file I got in ldrawunf.zip has the origin in the middle of the can instead.

...and now downloading from this page produces the file with the origin in the can rather than the handle. I think there's a problem somewhere...

I have a copy of the file uploaded on the 22 nov.
It has a moved origin. The origin has to be restored.

I think the 18 June version had a correct origin. The version uploaded on 22 Nov has the origin moved to the base of the can.

This surface need to be connected to the 1-8chrd's instead.

Instead of using 4 x 2-4cyls.dat + a 4-4edge.dat in the pipe, you could try a 4-4cylse.dat, which include a edge lines.

A very good clean-up.
