If you can't find a good solution with matching primitives, it is better to use only triangles and quads.
This doesn't look good, and it breakes in hi-res.

From what I have also seen in other photos the situation does not seem so "tragic" to me.
In other photos the shades are more similar to those of neighboring bricks.
The radii and angle of 60 degrees are good.
The only thing I changed is the width of the brown band from about 31 to about 24 LDU.
