i have lower the amount of triangles and changed the name from 3039p13.dat to 3039pt3.dat due recommendation made by UR

3039p13.dat should be deleted from Part Tracker

sorry....but:

the backface culling is missing in the header (BFC)

mark the vertice or or even a couple of vertices, but the vertice you want to merge to as the last one .... with CTRL + E ... on your keyboard ... and press enter .... in LdPartEditor .. ,

by the way ...: CTRL + W + Enter ... results in an average value for those vertices.

and....as already explained in your first submitted part..T-junctions shoul be avoide.....as far as possible...

these Vertices in the center should be merged....
they are unnecessary:

4 10 -14 9.2631 -19.2631 -2.4 10.5359 -20.5359 -2.5 8.55599 -18.556 -7.1 7.77817 -17.7782
4 9 .5 9.97021 -19.9702 .5 8.98026 -18.9803 -2.6 9.54594 -19.5459 -2.5 10.5359 -20.5359
4 9 .5 9.97021 -19.9702 5.55 9.79343 -19.7934 3.5 9.40452 -19.4045 .5 8.98026 -18.9803
3 9 -2.5 8.55599 -18.556 -2.6 9.54594 -19.5459 .5 8.98026 -18.9803

that results in only one triangle:

4 9 -2.5 10.5359 -20.5359 5.55 9.79343 -19.7934 3.5 9.40452 -19.4045 -2.5 8.55599 -18.556

as already explained...the T-junctions at the sides can be avoided with additional vertices in the infield:

3 10 20 20 -30 20 0 -10 9 9.47523 -19.4752
3 10 -14 9.2631 -19.2631 -20.001 -.00424 -9.99576 -20 20 -30

It's beginning to look good, but I would like the see the numbers in the file rounded off much harder.
A smooth and good looking pattern is not dependant on many decimals. Two is usually enough.

like Magnus says ......2 decimals should be enough

if you zoom in....you will see, that there are some poor vertices displaced from a smooth rounding.

whenever I also always tended to "to much detailed" drawings in my beginnings here...I have to say now with a laughter about myself..that some points which are very close to each other could be merged.

than ..it's fine...I think
