I disagree. For the reasons Takeshi stated and we decided not to use font primitives for kerning reasons

Well looking into my p folder there are already:

type-swiss721bt-bold-lg.dat

As far as I remember the decision to no longer add type prims applies to new fonts. It would be rather stupid not completing the set we already have and if kerning is a major concern, well we should probably move away from trying to squeeze letters into a blocky rectangular and accommodate kerning by design?
