Looks like other clone troopers have distinctive elements (eg. "with crest"). But I am open to suggestions!

I don't understand why this part is divided into two halves, left and right.
There's twelve differently patterned versions of it, and as far as I can see, the front surface should be removed/subfiled.

Most (all?) of these patterns are symmetrical, so the left/right split makes sense. I have not tried to go further in subparting for patterns because it is very difficult to decide what to exclude without actually make the pattern.
