Author name cahnged (my apologyze).
About the T-junctions: on the OFFICIAL primitive there are 16 t-junctions. It can see clearly: 8 on the extentions, 2 on top and 2 on bottom = 4; thise by 2 extentions = 8. The remaining 8: starting on the middle vertex in the cili primitive; 2 on top and 2 on bottom left quarter = 4 and 2 on top and 2 on bottom right quarter = 4; the sum of it = 8. And you have the 16 T-junct.

These were not T-junctions (vertex placed on a face side) but rounding errors due to limited digits and rotated primitives. New version is indeed much better. See details on T-juncions here: https://wiki.ldraw.org/wiki/T-Junction

My opinion too.
No T-junction, only rounding error.
