New "bowling ball"-style ball joints I found in http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=2194-1
I split the ball into the main segment half and four "caps", this is required to model mid-beam joints properly. This file is a "complete assembly", for lack of a better term. Going to use these primitives in the near future.
Why isn't this first file called "bowlball1.dat"?
Are the caps similar enough to use single subpart?
there are small gaps at the far ends of the paired holes, as if the disc primitives at the far ends were rotated slightly differently than the tunnels/finger-holes...
Upon further investigation, it appears that the flaw I found is actually with the "bowlball2.dat" sub-file...
Transferring my "Hold" vote appropriately...
