A lot of LDraw parts remain 'unofficial,' or not included in the voted updates. These parts are being improved, but they are still available for use and improvement by others.
Many of these unoffical parts can be found on the
Parts Tracker.
If you are interested in creating LDraw parts and would like to submit them to the LDraw updates, first check the LDraw
Parts Tracker to see if the part has already been posted. This helps avoid the doubling of efforts.
The parts at these sites are possibly unofficial and may be subject to change. These parts are not endorsed by LDraw.org.

DetailsMy career as a LDraw parts author seems to be the same like the most of us: I was looking for a CAD system to construct LEGO models for my son and became familiar with LDraw. But on and off I was missing a part. So I became a parts author with the username "Brickaneer" - an acronym of "brick" and "engineer" (since I'm an engineer by profession). At my homepage you can find the parts I created for LDraw.

DetailsI try to build all official models and need for that parts that are already not in LDraw, so I have to author these parts. Ich versuche alle offiziellen Modelle nachzubauen und benötige dafür natürlich auch Teile die nicht in LDraw vorhanden sind. Also bin ich auch unter die Autoren gegangen.
