Code 486 is not a ldraw colour.
Printed gold should use code 82.

Why is the belt subparted if all versions have the same colour?

Many T-junctions.
Subfiles are not BFC'd.
The mainfiles; 973p31, 973p32 and 973p33 are all also not BFC'd

the belt is probably a subfile
because in older days portions of that color needed to be.
these times are over nowadays.
