Sybrand, it is not necessary to write comments like this
0 // comment xyz
, you can just write
0 // xyz

The "comment" text is superfluous and maybe comes
from some misleading instructions.

Update file on Dec 7:
- Removed words "comment" in comments
- Applied BFC-ing
- Renamed Fabuland windows to:
* 3979 = Window Fabuland Round Type 1
* u9114 = Window Fabuland Round Type 2
* 3980 = Window Fabuland Rectangular

This part has similar problems as 3979.dat, please see my comment there.
I suggest adding a "Needs Work" suffix to be able to release this file even when not (yet) perfect to be able to give our Fabuland Figures a home.

More duplicated edge lines in the big circle.
Lines 793-804 are unnecessary. They're include in this primitive:
1 14 0 40 -2 31 0 0 0 0 -34 0 1 0 48\4-4edge.dat at line 377
And yes, that primititve is yellow in the file too.

Four 1-4discs are not flat, lines 865,867, 902 and 904
1 16 39 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 -1 0 -1 1 1-4disc.dat

Missing cond lines inside the three sextant panes

Missaligned quads at both ends of this quad:
4 4 32 43 4 32 41 4 -32 41 4 -32 43 4

Gaps in the design here, and on opposite side:
2 4 29.943 31.201 -1 30.5 34 -1
and here:
2 4 30.759 44 -2 29.943 48.799 -2

Missing an edge line at the bottom of the V.

No, I still see the same gaps. You need to flip it around and look at it from behind.
The only change is increased accuracy around a change from a 2-4cyli to 2x 5-24cyli.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.w.dee/LEGO/u9114.png
I had completely reworked that, so that the 1-4cyli doesn't directly join the 48\5-24cyli.
My LDView 4.1 install won't show BFC status in red/green!
Could you please post another image of what you see.

can't we improve this on the next iteration?
i.e., upload this file again after the next parts update and perfectize it?
preventing this from release would prevent its parent Fabuland parts
from getting released *together* with their siblings.

I'm with Magnus. We should prepare it as best as possible. Even in the first round of iterations...
BUT I have no problem to make parts official, that have some minor glitches when they are marked with an 'Needs' Work statement in the description. Otherwise we could never track, that there is a problem in such a part.

Hmmm.. I can still spot some gaps. But they are mostly caused by t-junctions and/or cyli prims and their connected quads. :-/
For the moment I'm not sure if I should certify or not...
@Chris: There is a bug in LDView (at least in my 4.2 beta - but I'm sure it was in 4.1 too), that you have to turn on lightning when BFC is enabled to see the red/green/blue faces. (All three colours must be enabled in the BFC option as well.)
