sorry, just discovered some geometric incorrectnesses here...:
this surface is modeled non-vertical currenty, which is an error IMHO:
4 4 129.023 172 -243.826 130 4 -240 130 4 13.5 129.023 172 13
an edge is missing around here (this one is imprecise and just for illustration):
2 4 125 183 -240 129 183 -240
the same on the other side
at these places
1 4 -363 0 -244 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 -1 s\x448s01.dat
probably some edges are superfluous.
we could decide to add a "(Needs Work)" here or fix the errors

I don't understand the need for file x448s01. It could be replaced by a primitive:
1 12 0 -183 -6 -3.5 0 0 0 183 0 0 4 -2 box4-3p.dat
The inside surface is bleeding through here:
2 4 396 0 63.5 396 0 228
2 4 -396 0 63.5 -396 0 228
2 4 396 0 -63.5 396 0 -228
2 4 -396 0 -63.5 -396 0 -228

shortened the inner surface on the short sides to avoid poking.

I repeat my objection to the content of file s\x448s01.dat
I agree with Max. It should be replaced by box-primitives.

I see no benefit of using box primitives here. Visual appearance will not change by using them. We only will need next couple of years for releasing this!

as s01 is unused now, I think that s02 and up should get renumbered to s01 and up

The renumbering can be done by PTAdmin. Before I write to him I wanted to be sure that the new version works.
