Mirroring puts everything on positive x coordinates -> file a tad smaller (no minus signs). Nothing decisive, but...

Otherwise, the hairline gaps mentionned by Max probably comes from insufficient matrix precision for the disc and ndis. You should at least keep 4 digits, or even 5 to make totally sure. The fix Max proposes slightly distort surfaces around primitives to force match, but if you have an original file with more precision, it would be better to restart from there.

Yes,Philo is right. The primitives should be corrected a bit and the matching faces needs adjustment then.
I did this fix within 15 minutes, so I didn't check for the planarity.

i checked all six points of the ndis with the matching point from the face and they all fit. Non of those six points need more precision (I calculated all transformed points with double precision)
Also checked some points of the eye againg ndis. But this would be odd, because both parts have the same matrix anyway and afaik are designed to match.

Is there a tool to check planarity of a file? Otherwise I have to write something...

Actually I visually noticed that the file was not planar. It's pretty subtile, but quite visible to the trained eye ;) For that it's better to use BFC green/red mode not to be distracted by the pattern. Here is a snapshot of Max proposal (contrast enhanced with Photoshop for demonstration purpose)

I have no tool to check coplanarity of a surface, but there is a simple solution to make sure: re-project pattern on head cylinder. Here is what I get:

We are clearly nitpicking here, either version seem pretty flat...
But if you look at both of them with inlined face cylinder in multicolor mode,

May I suggest to change the both linetype 1 lines to:
