ugh, downgrading to novote again;
personally, I don't think that subfiles need a !CATEGORY,
just parts,
but others do.

I'm so sorry, but the inside causes collision with the hair piece.
Btw I wonder if we should go the way and place this part like we did with the minifig hairpieces and helmets. (Moving the origin about 32 LDU along y axis)

- What make you think that the helmet rather than the hairpiece is the culprit for collision?
- It doesn't show at all whan seen from outside, so nobody cares (except for you of course ;) Its exactly the same for 90% of the LDD adapted hairpieces on standard LDraw head...

I checked the hairpiece width visually. It's aligned with the outside of the heads ears. So I'm quite sure, that the helmet causes this collision.

You are free to try to improve this part if you really want (but imho it's a complete loss of time). I have painful rememberance of this part, that was pretty hard to build and (more or less) satisfy all constraints.

Note that if you want to make a really useful improvement to this part, you could try to improve collision with the visor that occurs in up position. But I'm afraid that this would imply a major rewrite, probably of both parts...
