Can you explain what you are doing during reviewing process?
As you find a lot of errors others are not aware of, I think your process is better than, at least, mine :)

I download all new files to a separate folder, and move subfiles to a "s"-folder, in that folder.
That way I can open any new file correctly, and review it, before I move it to my "unofficial"-folder.
When reviewing any patterned part I always use Edger2 with -s and -w settings , on the complete file.
Expanding all subfiles and writing only new lines.
Open the result in LDDP and LDView and look at the result.
If you do it enough times you'll learn were the usual errors are, in the torso and head subfiles, and quickly see any new line.
If I find something, I'll run it again, now with only -s setting, and open the resulting file in LDDP and LDView.
Any overlapping quads or t-junctions are now marked with a red line.
Scroll to the bottom of the file, with all new lines, and poll to selected line, untill you find the right "wrong" line.
Random colours in LDView will help you to see overlapping quads.
And then, of course, a final check with DatHeader.
