I'm not sure about the metal colours. Do we have a wiki-entry for that?

Metallic items (screws) should be color 494, not 393. Dunno for the magnet, but I'd go with 494 too.

There is a "magnetic" colour in ldconfig, 493 "Magnet", but that one is perhaps mostly for older, greyish magnets.
I guess this one is more like a neodym magnet, a shiny silverlike colour. 494 seems good to me.

Yes, you're right - it's a neodym magnet.

I'm not sure (at all!) about ref 74188. Can't find this ref. except on Bricklink.

Otherwise, I don't like the see-through between brick and bottom plate. IMHO they should be made exactly matching.

I missed that. Is there really a gap?

Yes. I guess the dimensions used by Max really match physical dimensions, but LDraw dimensions are somewhat idealized to fill in the tiny play between bricks.

Yes, I used the exactly dimensions of the brick. And there is a visible gap between the bottom and the top part. That was the reason for doing the part in this way. Stupidly I have given this brick to my girlfriend after it was done and now she don't know where it is. uuurg.

I strongly suggest to rename this part 90754. 74188 definitely seems to be a wrong value.

I agree with Philo. We can't find references to the Brickfinder number elsewhere, and 90754 fits very well with the known design for the 4x4 brick with magnet (90760).

I used the partnumber, which Bricklink uses for this part. But OK, I will inform the Admin, that he renumbers this part.

Not that I distrust you, but I can not verify that number either.
Why is it known at Bricklink as 74188?

I don't know where they got this number. 74188 doesn't seem to be a valid reference.
