Our library should contain an example ...c01 assembly or uXXXXX.dat
part (or even, of course using the proper LEGO number for the assembly)
instead of the lengthy !HELP description here.
We've done so for the electric plugs
(for which also cables of many different lengths exist)
http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptreviewsummary.cgi?f=electricplugs
, and I suggest we do here similarly.

The complete hose without ends is 751.dat, but it looks like the segmentation to allow flexibility was only partly implemented, as that file was never updated to use the 754/755/756 pseudo-parts. The complete assemblies with ends are in the official library as 73590a/73590b.

I am relieved to see that this mess pre-dates my involvement as Admin.

It would be good to sort it out.

I'd be happy to help. Our library simply gets better over time,
and that's a Good Thing (TM).

I have tried this, but I am quite unsure about the distance of the parts, as they do not have any visual "grip". Maybe I just upload my attempt to the PT, so everybody can leave his comments then.
