Was quite easy to derive this from 61053.dat. :-)

I do not like a creation of connhol2.dat
ring8 and 16 LDU length 4-4cyli.dat make it tooooo specific. imho //
You have not checked peghole2.dat which represent a lot of lines from
connhol2.dat. And with that you can remove box3u8p.dat
Do not invent a wheel ihmo peghole2.dat is fine for this part.
It allowed to reduce some calculations.

You can use my code in http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/50898.dat for this problem.

I disagree.
- connhol2.dat can be pretty much universally used - I used it in 64178.dat and 64179.dat before deciding at the last minute to inline them. Also there are a lot of parts both here on the Parts Tracker and in the official library that can use connhol2.dat.
- peghole2.dat can't be used for this because it contains two lines which make it unsuitable for connhol2.dat (see http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/arezey/ldraw/peghole2-1.png)
If connhol2.dat is too specific, I claim all other special purpose primitives are.

Modified to use axleho12.dat - had to model stops for it to make the axlehole oriented correctly. The stop holes are not exactly the right size... but was much easier to model this way. One doesn't look too often into the holes after all, does one?

Better indeed, especially after I clear my browser cache ;o)
Maybe the display preview issue comes from the long file name in the ball socket primitive?

If it's so, then we have one more reason to switch to LDView.

I don't think that this is the reason for that as http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/s/60176s01.dat is shown correctly.
