Something curious. I only changed the color of one subpart and the picture doesn't reflect that and more curious the subparts are not shown??

when renumbering or renaming this part, make sure that
all "...Battery Box...(Complete)" parts are named analogously!

this file currently has its part number taken from the lid, plus c01 suffix. I suggest to instead use the number of the main body box.

As the main body part here is the lid (top part) I can not see a benefit of changing the numbering scheme that currently applies to all boxes of this type.

This should not be titled as "Type 2" IMHO. As this has been the first battery boxes. Instead at http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/x561c01.dat there should be added the Type 2 and here changed to Type 1.

@MagFors
You are right, but I believe that nobody else will notice that as the visual apperiance is good. I'd be happy to make the correct screw, but I do not have the part near by, I have to dig in my stock. So please give this assembly your cert vote and remind me from time to time.
Pole reverser will be adjusted!

There must be something wrong here.
The holes in the lid don't match the pole reverser.

I want to certify this, but can not, knowing that there must be
something wrong in its parts.
Either the lid, or the pole reverser is wrong.
If someone else thinks it is good enough, I wont stop it.
Mike, what is your plan for correcting this?

I looked at this in LDView in semi-transparent mode
and must be missing the issue you describe.
Can you be even more specific?
Are you sure you have no outdated file referenced from here?

Yes, I've had another look at it, with freshly downloaded files.
The pole reverser (and lever) is currently sitting 2 LDU to high.
You should not be able to peek under the pole reverser, into the box, like now.
If placed correctly, the holes don't match the lid.
I don't know if the error is in the lid or in the pole reverser.

Comments:

The main problem is still present.

Either the lid or the pole reverser is incorrectly made.
As it is put together now, the pole reverser is deliberately missplaced,
to get the holes to line up.

I don't have this part, and if Mike can't find his, we're stuck.
Do someone else have this battery box?
