should use 993.dat to model the cable

I will check this part against a real part and update this one. At least the underside of this connector IS only available in black. So this should be modeled in another way.

(keeping hold)

normally, I'd additionally suggest that
the cable should be shortened as much as possible
to allow maximum user decision on the cable placement.
However, this part had been out officially, and shortening
the cable portion would mean breaking existing models.
So this cannot be done.

I think the new one will be an assembly, so maybe we can make this file obsolete afterwards...

Working on...
I don't know where the number comes from. My assembly consist of 2 parts (2727 [Bottom] and 2726 [Top]) and the wire of course.
I think, I will bring my work as 2726c01 to the PT and prepare all parts using 5306 for the new one. 5306 would be obsolete then...

Works for me. Looks like 5306 comes from this service pack http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=5306-1 so it in not a design number anyway!

As suggested by Steffen, it would be best to shorten the wire as much as possible, as on may route it at right angle in the brick groove.

This is theme seems to be more complex than first thought.
The 'old' cables use a combination of 2726 + 2727, the newer ones a combination of 6625 and 6626. And there are two different versions of 2727...
I'll working on all these things.

This file is obsolete.
Max made a complete set of new files that should be used in the three parts using this file.
2726c01, 2726c02 and 6625c01

Yes, 5306 is the Service pack number
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=5306-1
not the design ID for this part.
But this has been official, so we need it to be a "~Moved to" that includes the same length of wire for backwards compatibility.

What is about making an obsolete statement to this part?

I'm also voting for obsoletizing this file.

However, I', still voting hold because it
should use 993.dat to model the cable
