Shouldn't this tyre be named Tyre 17 x 6, the way LEGO calls big tyres?

I confirm the number!
Maybe it is also time for a general rule for tyre naming scheme.

I don't know who has used 50945 for the first time for this part (peeron and bricklink only uses this number) but only 50951 is used as the design number in original TLG documents.
So design number for this part is 50951 and the item no. is 4246901 as I have build this from set 8656.
