This one is one of my overall favorites as Bionicle parts go. Very elegant design. Props to whoever in TLG created it. :P

And so deceitful it is as well.. when I started on the part the main geometry on the front came together very easily.. and then I got to those little fingers the part features. They were an absolute nightmare to get right. The two fingers on the side needed quite some blarghing with pathtruder before I finally realized how to actually model them and got them right in one go.. the three front fingers actually don't have pathtruder involved at all, which caused me to try all sorts of tricks to get them look right.. and I think it looks actually very good as a result!

I'm so glad this part is now modeled in LDraw!

And most merry Christmas guys! I got a 42005-1 (the monster truck) as a gift from my parents and now have two of 92910 and 92911. They seem very very useful parts especially considering how you actually can stuff an u-joint inside the ball joint. I'm also surprised how strong the connection is. I'm trying to piece together some sort of chopper with it, we'll see if I can actually make a model sometime again. :P

whoops, forgot keywords again! Also these are magnetic shields in Bionicle lore. Would be pretty useful to have one to stick things onto walls.
