I think we should subfile this now. There's many printed arms.

Orion have asked for some patterned arms here:
https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-22794-post-28525.html#pid28525

I have made two subfiles to make pattern possible. Are they OK to upload now?

I think, you should upload them. I'll try to review the subparts and this file ASAP. Maybe Philo or Steffen will do so as well?!

This doesn't address the short sleeve arms, but I think it must be completely different anyway. Nonethelessn wondering on the possibility to make separate outer upper and outer lower to simplify the patterns that are only on upper or only on lower part - there are quite a few.

Thanks for a speedy review. This will do for now, if someone wants to make patterns to Orion's request.

I was looking at the sleeved version too. How do we solve that issue?
Should we cut this one into four pieces instead?

How do we number the new subfiles?
The sleeved arms are already called 3818p01s01 and 3818p01s02

I want to cut 3818s01 and 3818s02 into four new subfiles 3818s03-3818s06 at the dividing line of 3818p01
And then use them in both 3818s01/s02 and 3818p01s01/s02.

I think I prefer to keep current partition scheme : s01/s02 inner/outer and p01s01/p01s02 lower upper. Cutting inner surface introduces new vertices useless in most usages.

OK,
then I'll only upload the four new subfiles, and won't cut 3818s01 and s02 into halves.
I think they should be numbered 3818p01s04 - 3818p01s06 then, since they are subfiles to the dual coloured arm.
They should be used in the printed dual coloured arms.

And I'll make two more subfiles for the printed surface of 3818 and use the natural dividing line between upper and lower arm instead.
The should be used in the mono coloured arms.
But which line should I choose? The upper or lower line of the elbow? I think upper is better.

Seems ok. Upper separation line for me too.
