I think we can probably afford to spell the colour out in full ;-) "Light_Gray" to match ldconfig.ldr, or "Light Gray" - not sure whether we have a preference.

'Gray', not 'Grey'...and no, I don't know why we've gone with the US spelling in ldconfig.ldr :-(

- removing hold (3680.dat sent to Admin)

- "grey" vs. "gray: I counted the currently official files for these words. result:
61x grey
41x gray
I went for the majority here. If we want to harmonize this, a search+replace on all files should be conducted, not just on this file

That doesn't make either spelling 'correct', though. I'm not particularly bothered which one we use so long as we standardise on one of them, and the obvious one to pick seems to be the one in ldconfig.ldr.

Going with the 'majority vote' each time a part is submitted or edited simply means that the majority will be perpetuated. There's no reason not to change something if it's wrong.

well, actually I didn't put much effort here into "grey" vs. "gray":

the recently official file contained the line

0 !HELP Base colour is variable, top is hardcoded to LtGrey

from which I copied+pasted the "LtGrey" word into the file title.
After your suggestion to extend that, it became "Light Grey".

I didn't want to open or lead the dicussion "English US" vs. "English AUS" vs. "English UK" vs. "English FromSomewhereElseInTheWorld" here.

I could live with whatever is wanted here.
But the change should be global, not local to this file.

Yes, all the other parts should be changed to whichever spelling we want to use. But that's no reason not to change _this_ part now since it's on the PT.

While I would personally prefer the UK spelling of 'grey', I think we should in fact be using the spellings from ldconfig.ldr in official library parts.

yes, and I did not change this part. it kept its "grey" status.
since this file will be caught by the search+replace action
which someday will take place, what about certifying it?
