Why is that irrelevant? Then we should not write that they should not be scaled!

It is irrelevant because that primitive should not be used in this part. Whether it's scaled doesn't matter - the error is that it shouldn't be here :-)

the "Needs Work" note in the file now says
"underside connector needs remodeling with proper geometry",
which IMHO subsumes both, so I think the file is fine
until some lonely soul has grace and fixes it
