I get under the mouth some red flickering if I set bfc red backfaces on. So there might be some gaps.

Anyone who want to improve the pattern is welcome to go ahead.
I didn't remove the obvious t-junctions in the pattern , since I think that this pattern realy need a rewrite.
I can't find any good pictures of it, but if you want me too I could make an effort to remove the t-junctions.
