"old" should be removed from part name.
(Each part at some point in time will become "old".)
We should find something more descriptive.

Some overlapping rings.
The stud-prims should be changed to cylinder-prims, IHMO.

I just realized that this file is not finished as the inner surface is missing. So it should have the (needs work) tag with the appropriate comment.

I'm thinking of doing this part only 16 sided. What's your opinion?

Well, when I made 87081, "Brick 4 x 4 round" I looked at 60474, "Plate 4 x 4 round, and made it very similar.
The center is made of lo-res-prims, but the outer ring is hi-res. That gave the best result.
Using the 48/4-4aring primitive as an adapter between lo-res and hi-res.
IMO, 6222, "Brick 4 x 4 Round with Holes" is too "blocky", not smooth enough.
In this part, I also see a lot of cyli-surface bleeding through the surrounding bottom surface, in the four ribs.

Made the outside ring 48 sided and the rest 16 sided is good idea. I had this in my mind but while coding I have forgotten it. :-/ I will go on here, when the top is ready for the PT.

And I have to wait for the admin to build shortcuts, because I don't have the partnumbers of the connectors from the inside.

I don't understand why, but I get some odd error messages from DatHeader when running it on this file.
"Error in LDraw_IsErrorLines in modLDraw at check no.8 Line:45"

Indeed, that's crazy and it is much more crazy, while loading this part with DatHeader directly from the PT it works.
Nevertheless I have 2 identical Version in different folders on my Computer one works and one brings this odd message. I have uploaded the file from the other folder now.

DATHeader brings me an odd error. The error results of bfc inverted 1-16cylos at the end. Don't know, where the Problem is.

I think you could move a lot of the primitives to the subfile 3404s02, instead of repeating them eight times.

it would be great, if all these parts concerning to the turntables could leave the PT with update 2013-1 :-)
