How do I correct this part without breaking many models?

The description says Orange but the pattern is yellow.
I want to create the third part which have a orange pattern

Numbers at Bricklink
30378ps1 = orange pattern
30378ps2 = dkRed pattern
30378ps3 = yellow pattern

Keep it as a yellow pattern and correct the description, or correct the colour and create a new yellow pattern?

I think you should simply change the description, so models will still look the same. And models that mistakenly used this one as orange version won't be worse...

Of course this way we create an inconsistancy with BL references, but that's not the first one (nor the last one I fear!)

I'm still not sure.
This part is used in the official shortcut 30375cs1.dat,
and the pattern on the torso in that figure is only known in Orange.

IMO, I have to change the colour of this part from yellow to orange, and keep the description.
