There seem to be more than one design here.
I have at least three different versions.

This one:
with a square hole all the way through, levelled spokes on backside

with square hole on one side, recessed spokes on backside

and:
with square hole on one side, recessed surface and no spokes on backside, marked 74967
present in my set 9478, Francesco Bernoulli, from this year.
