if I believe that the set photos are correct on this page (http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/392-2) the stripes has the same orientation on both sides.

All pictures that I found on the net are low left to top right. Is this always the brick only from one side and never the other side.
I do not believe that. So - need to hold.
Only an owner of this part can convience me.

Thanks for pointing this out mikeheide.

Actually, diagonal from bottom-left to top-right was how I was planning to author the part. I've made a mistake for the backward surface. It was not did like this on purpose.

I don't own the part, but I guess we can rely on pictures on the net.
