The end quad of the cable is somewhat strange... (hold reason)
This part should be reworked.

Could you please explain the thoughts behind this design, Philo?
The cable end looks indeed strange. Do you feel like reworking it?

Well, it may be discussed (that's what we do ;) but the purpose was to close the end of cable to prevent see-through, but to allow seamless extension of cable (eg. LSynth). Cable end of PF cable is done the same way (but with round wires section).

The main problem I have with this end is the quad which is much higher than the cable itself (of course it would be nice to have "round cable" stump here, too)

Height: indeed, will correct!
Square/round: many 9V cables did have a square profile.

If they had either a round or a square cable, wouldn't this file be better suited without a cable end?

- Changing it now would break models (official part).
- I think it's OK this way (other similar part are done the same way)
- Won't probably be used anymore, part is pretty rare and obsolete!
