I don't understand the removal of the leading ~
from the title, because in real life accessing this part
standalone would require to break its parents

Because a user may want to build his own shock length variant (*), thus needs to easily access compositing parts. Moreover, the shock absorber are really easy to disassemble, even though they are not intended to.

(*) This can of course also be done by inlining, but not all LDraw editors are able to do this...
