This comes from limited precision in subparts rotation matrix. I suggest to keep at least 4 or five digits there.

One more decimal solves this problem:

I'm not sure about the author line. I honour all authors in the author line, even when I made a part from the scratch...
If would have reworked this part, I would write John's name in this file and in the b version I would write my name, because he did the version without reinforcements...

Yeah, I'd noticed those gaps, but noticed them only on certain seems and only sometimes.
I thought it might be a glitch LDView, and didn't worry too much about it.
However, these new points seem to have done the trick (thanks MMR).

To be fair, the rotation was done in LDDP, which only gave me 3 decimals of accuracy.
Next time, I'll be sure to have more accuracy on those types of parts.

Oh, and I relinquished the authorship on this part, but I'll keep B as mine.

Existing certification-votes were deleted.

"To be fair, the rotation was done in LDDP, which only gave me 3 decimals of accuracy. "
- You can change default rounding settings in tools>options>configurations value tab
- More importantly you can check there "Only perform rounding when using auto round function". This way LDDP keeps all significant digits until you round things up in the end (either with LDDP or datheader), this avoids accumulation on errors. Unfortunately there is a bug in LDDP, that despite this flag still perform rounding when you change color.

I'm a bit unsure, but shouldn't we have the old history entries in the header, too?

All the history entries will be deleted in case it gets official. After that, if a file will be again on the pt all changes needs and should be documented in the History. So you do not need to add a history entry until the file is first time released. But we use it also in developing stage :)

HISTORY lines in the initial version should reflect everybody who worked on it. I only delete HISTORY lines on initial release if they are all for the same person as in the Author: line.
