This is my very first part - a sticker used in set 6610 - primarily created to learn how to create parts.
Please be gentle but firm with me, as I want to learn as much as possible, and make my parts as good as possible.
There are three files - two parts and a subpart.

Duplicated surfaces, lines 41 and 42.
The box could be made with a primitive, box5-12.dat
That box should be black, since the "the predominant color of the pattern at its edges" is black.
See here: http://www.ldraw.org/Article339.html
Wrong part type, should be "!LDRAW_ORG Unofficial_Subpart"
I would also change name to "Sticker Shell Gas Pump Number 2"

I'd also suggest adding 'gasoline' and 'petrol' as keywords.

A set number is not a keyword 'gasoline' and 'petrol' are keywords.
If you wish to reference the set number please use a line like:
0 // From set 6610
or perhaps this:
o !HELP set 6610

No, that's wrong information IMHO.
Recent practice is to put the set number into the keywords as
"Set NNNN", cf.
http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/u9106p02c02.dat
But while I'm writing this, I see the strangeness of such doing.
I'll suggest to the LSC to introduce a new keyword
to be used like this:
0 !SET 7740
we could also think of
0 !SET 7740 Electric Inter-City Train Set, 12V
( I just picked a random set number here as example,
i.e., my favorite LEGO set :-)))

Thanks for the corrections.
I've fixed the header, (name, part-type, unofficial, keywords) but decided to keep the "set"-keyword, eventhough I agree with the discussion, and would like to see a !SET definition.
I've also moved the entire sticker so it is centered, and I've changed the back to a box5-12. However, I've kept it white. On the real sticker, the black part doesn't stretch entirely to the edges, and part of the back of the sticker is visible, when used in the 6610-set. And since the black of the sticker isn't supposed to blend in with a black (brick) background, I'll prefer the white box.

I also like the white better, for several reasons:
- in real life, the sticker is white
- due to printing alignment variations, also in real life a small thin white border can be seen
- the predominant color of this sticker IMHO also is white, even if white does not cover the majority of the surface, so choosing white is also spec-conform

Well, if there is a white border around the black area, why isn't it rendered? Then, but only then, should this sticker have a white box.
I still say that this box must be black, since "the predominant color of the pattern at its edges" is black.

For this file, people cannot agree about whether the background
box should be black or white or transparent.
We should solve that dispute by making it color 16.
Then everybody can pick the color he/she likes.
