In an off-PT mail thread, Chris, Mike, Philo and me discussed about this part. Here are some points to consider:
- having this part makes sense for example for creating inventories
- in this un-bent form, this part makes not much sense for constructing scenes or assemblies
- in an inventory, the part does not have enlarged ends, because these result from plugging it onto nozzles

conclusion: my personal opinion is that the widened ends from this part should be removed.

Holding because 165c01b.dat and 165c01.dat
currently have the same name.
Their names should be made distinguishable.

Additionally, I don't understand the current numbering of these
parts: Currently they are numbered this way:
165c01b = file without enlarged ends
165c01 = file with enlarged ends
As I consider the enlarged ends to be the "extra" on that part,
I would have assumed the numbering would be
165c01a = file without enlarged ends
165c01b = file with enlarged ends
instead. Or even
165c01 = file without enlarged ends
165c02 = file with enlarged ends
By the time I am writing this, I just wonder why
the file with the non-enlarged ends has a ...c0x.dat suffix at all.
Our current numbering scheme assigns the "native" part number
without c0x suffix to the part itself, and then the c01, c02, c03, ...
numbers to Shortcuts of/for it. Thus, I would have expected
this numbering
165 = file without enlarged ends
165c01 = file with enlarged ends
(and possibly in future:
165c02 = some other special variant of it)

Ah, and PS: I like to have both variants (enlarged ends and non-enlarged ends) official, as both are useful. I do not have the
fear that these two would clutter our \PARTS folder, because this
is already done by other files (e.g. the "physical color" shortcuts).
