As "needs work" this is ok, but couldn't you fix this with isecalc?

Primitives should always use CCW winding.

BFCing this should be easy, we shouldn't have unBFCed primitives IMHO

the geometry between the straight and round portion isn't correct at all (has gaps and poke-through)
anyone wanting to correct that, go ahead

To Steffen:
As these issues are mentioned in the comments and this file has a "Needs Work" statement I think you should not hold.

Hi mike, normally I would agree to you,
but for two reasons I don't in this special case:
a) Normally, a "needs work" denotes minor glitches. But here the errors are strong: the gaps are trivially visible, the poke-through is not modeled correctly at all, and meeting edges etc. are not modeled correctly, too. This makes this file kind of a "rough sketch".
b) This is a primitive. This way it is kind of an elementary, substantial part of the LDRAW distribution. This makes it different than just a "normal" part. And being such, it should be flawless. We should not start releasing flawy primitives. This would lead to subsequent errors in all the parts using it.

Mike, maybe using philo's tools it could be very easy
now to fix this part, so we can certify some more of your Duplo parts

I feel two edges missing on the underside
where the quads contact the ring section.
Here's a rough sketch line (coordinates not precise!) which points
out their place:
2 4 -8 11 -9 -4 11 -9

I'm not sure if these must be edges or condlines, but nevertheless they are missing:
2 4 -4 14 -13 -8 14 -13
2 4 4 14 -13 8 14 -13
AND
in Line 40/41 is the flat primitive flipped by BFC invertnext.

Many of the quads in the "stem" could be replaced by triangles, thus shrinking the filesize and would eliminate t-junctions.

I also divided the code into pin and steam and used cylc and cylo to save some lines.
