The 2012/20132 LDraw Standard Committee (LSC)

comprises Travis Cobbs, Chris Dee, Roland Melkert, Orion Pobursky and Allen Smith

Any vote is approved by at least three votes in favor and no more than one vote against. Votes last for three weeks, after which any uncast votes automatically become abstentions.

  • 2007-09-23 Approved version 1.0 of the LDraw File Format specification.
  • 2007-09-06 Approved proposal to allow zero or more qualifiers in the !LDRAW_ORG meta-command.
  • 2007-09-06 Rejected proposal to allow one optional qualifier in the !LDRAW_ORG meta-command.
  • 2007-07-10 Approved Version 1.4 of the Category and Keyword specification.
  • 2007-03-07 Voted on proposal to make "Unofficial" directory an official location for unofficial parts. Proposal was rejected (voted down).
  • 2007-02-21 Added description of using " (needs work)" in the part title to allow for parts to be certified with known problems.
  • 2006-11-09 Approved Version 1.0 of the Back Face Culling (BFC) specification. The BFC spec can be found at here.
  • 2006-10-12 Adopted the "de-facto" BFC extension as the official draft specification.
  • 2006-10-02 Approved new parts header format of the "~Moved to" files to support the Contributor Agreement. See Appendix II of the main file header article.
  • 2006-09-29 Approved a format of the !LDRAW_ORG meta-statement suitable for the LDraw Parts Tracker. See Appendix I of the main file header article.

  • A location was established on the ldraw.org website listing all of the current LDraw library updates. This page is script generated and as such is always up to date. This will allow web enabled programs to read this document and dynamically download portions of the LDraw library. The location of this page is http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptreleases.cgi.
  • A decision was made not to allow embedded POV-Ray code in official parts library files. The POV-Ray Scene Description Language (PSDL) is not under the cognizance of the LSC, therefore changes can be made to the PSDL that affect the official library in ways beyond the LSC's control.
  • !COLOUR, a new meta command for color definitions, was created for use in the ldconfig.ldr file.
