The LDraw community thrives on a series of online discussion groups, both in the form of mailing lists and on the LEGO® Users Group Network (LUGNET [3]) servers.

On LUGNET, people come and share ideas about new programs, people post their works and discuss them and users can ask questions and get them answered by the most knowledgeable and talented LDraw users around.

On the mailing lists, among other things, the developers of the LDraw.org website discuss new ideas and new directions, the LDraw.org Standards Committee discusses the future of the LDraw file format
