Things to consider if updating to POV-Ray 3.5

This means that every time you run L3PAO with the "render upon completion" option checked, POV-Ray will start but nothing will happen. L3PAO converted files do work on POV-Ray 3.5, but only by opening them from within POV-Ray or double clicking the POV-files.

If you want to use the LGEO library, you have to edit colors.inc to get it working.
Open the colors.inc file. It is located in the POV-Ray install directory in the Include folder
(in Windows, this is usually C:\Program Files\POV-Ray for Windows v3.5\include\).
Find the line:
#declare Colors_Inc_Temp = version;
Immediately following the above line add this line:
#version 3.5;
Save the file.

MegaPOV 0.7 doesn't work with POV-Ray 3.5, so you will need to install MegaPOV 1.0
You can find MegaPOV 1.0 in the Download [3] section

Changes in POV-Ray 3.1 to 3.5

Alternative Software

LPub [4] Supports 3.1, 3.5 AND MegaPov, but has a bit steeper learning curve. LPub provides a GUI similar to L3PAO but also expands on it. Furthermore, you can create building instructions.
