Updates

Keep your LDraw installation up-to-date by downloading the official LDraw.org Part Updates. The part files have been carefully constructed by LDraw users and are peer-reviewed before being added to the LDraw.org Part Library. Work is continually taking place to develop as many LDraw parts as possible while maintaining the group's commitment to quality.

Download this file to get just the latest changes and additions. If you've missed some of the earlier releases, you should check out the Complete Update, below.

To use this update, download this file to the directory where your LDraw directory is located. If you have C:\LDraw, download this update to C:\. Once downloading is complete, install the update by clicking Start, then Run. Type the full path to the update file, along with a '-y' option. Something like this:

The '-y' will tell the update to replace existing parts with newer versions, without prompting you for each change.

Complete Update
This is the complete set of update files. To get the entire parts library, you need to start with the base installation.

To use this update, download this file to the directory where your LDraw directory is located. If you have C:\LDraw, download to C:\. To run the file, click Start>Run (File>Run in Win 3.x), type in 'complete.exe -y' and press Enter. The '-y' switch will answer 'yes' to all the files, sparing you from needless time and effort pressing the [Y] key repeatedly.

After you have run the file, run your mklist.exe program to create the parts list. Typing [D] when prompted sorts the parts by description - this is recommended. If you have trouble with the mklist.exe program, you can download the current, complete parts.lst file by clicking here.

Individual Updates
If you would like to download each update individually or only need a certain update, you can download it here. These updates have been being released on a semi-regular basis since September 1997.

Save these files to your ldraw directory. Run the files in order according to number. After you have completed this, run your mklist.exe program and select option 'D' to sort by description, or 'N' to sort by number. If you have trouble with the mklist.exe program, you can download the complete, current parts.lst file by clicking here.
