Step 1a: System Requirements

LDraw requires the following:

Mac OS 8.6 to Mac OS X (10.2.x recommended)
Approx. 40MB hard disk space
16MB RAM or higher recommended

Step 1b: Download the files

1. linux-ldraw-library-2003-03-11.tar.bz2 - 3.6 MB (approx. ? min at 28.8)

Step 1c: Install LDraw and the Parts Library

1. StuffIt will decompress the file you downloaded and create a folder called "ldraw". Move this folder where ever you like, but don't change its location from that point on. When you first run your LDraw applications, you will need tell these applications where you put this folder. If you change your LDraw folder location, you may need to delete the preferences for the application to get it to ask where your LDraw folder is.

Step 1d: LDraw Installation Complete!
Your installation of LDraw should now be complete. If you have experienced any problems or have any questions at this point, please refer to the Help Desk or the discussion group at lugnet.cad.
