We are pleased to announce we've thrown the switch on our new content management system. This system will make it easier to add news and updates to the LDraw.org website, and it will also allow for more people to get involved with content.

The Planetary Society is putting out a call to build a better rover! LEGO rovers will be used in Planetary Society-hosted "Mars Station" exhibits around the world. These Stations will be designed to mimic environments on Mars as they appear to small, remotely operated rovers. While the actual Mars rovers are semi-autonomous, designed to intelligently negotiate their landscapes, the Mars Station rovers will be operated entirely by humans using a Web interface to see through a camera mounted on the rovers.

LDraw.org volunteers will be hosting a booth at LEGO WORLD 2002, to introduce the public to the LDraw system of 3D CAD tools. The area will contain a hands-on computer lab for event guests to gain firsthand experience, a classroom area with a projector for on-screen presentations, and an information table.
