The development of LDD and Lego Factory have produced an alternate brick
CAD system to the LDraw system. It is the position of the LDraw Organisation
that development of the LDraw system will continue alongside and as much as
possible work with LDD and that LDD should not be considered a replacement
for the LDraw system (including editors such as MLCad and LeoCAD, the parts
library and other associated software).

Since the LDraw.org Standards Committee Final Draft has been posted and publicly discussed at LUGNET, and since by peoples' silence, there appear to be no more lingering objections, the Steering Committee hereby calls for a community vote to ratify the final draft.

To vote, please log in with your user account, then visit the ballot page:

LSC Final Draft Ratification

Only LDraw organization members may cast one vote in the poll.

The 2008/2009 LDraw Steering Committee (SteerCo) comprises Chris Dee, Tim Gould, Michael Heidemann, Orion Pobursky and Willy Tschager

Read on if you are interested in some details about the 2008/2009 SteerCo. Different from previous governing bodies the current SteerCo has no chairman or a primus inter pares. The member that puts an issue for discussion, takes the lead on the topic. This includes calling for input, writing summaries, trying to reach a common point, keep the discussion going if a still stood is noticed, calling for a final vote and eventually announce the result on Lugnet and LDraw’s homepage.

We (LDraw.org) are still trying to contact all the authors who have contributed
to the Parts Library over the years but have not yet affirmed the current
version of the Contributor Agreement

Below you will find a list of all the authors currently in the library and the
number of parts they created who have not yet affirmed the CA. If you are one
of these people, or know how to contact one or more of them, please contact Willy
(Ldraw@say.no.to.spam.holly-wood.it)(remove "say.no.to.spam.") via mail.
