The LDraw.org Steering Committee election is now open. To vote, you may log in to the web site with your user account, then visit the:
Steering Committee Ballot
Only LDraw organization members may vote and you may vote for up to five
candidates only. This is a secret ballot. Our PostNuke ballot module does not
allow to match the votes casted to an user account.
The poll will conclude at 2359 EDT (GMT -0500), March 15, 2007 and the winners will be announced shortly thereafter. Since all three content managers are running for the SteerCo (with a clear conflict of interest) Dan Boger, LDraw's Server Admin has agreed to oversee/archive the ballot and announce the new Steering Committee.
A quick reference to the candidates for the 2007/2008 LDraw.org Steering Committee
election. The information is drawn from posts on LUGNET and corrections are
welcome, please email the webmasters.
Per the LDraw.org Bylaws, Subsection 6.03(a), the 2006/2007 Steering Committee
hereby calls for the community to nominate individuals as candidates for the
2007/2008 Steering Committee[1].
With a total of 12 voters who "agreed" and none who "disagreed", the Motion to move the LSC elections is hereby ratified.
Since the Motion to move the LSC elections has been posted and publicly discussed at LUGNET, and since by peoples' silence, there appear to be no more lingering objections, the Steering Committee hereby calls for a community vote to ratify the motion which shifts the LDraw Standards Committee (LSC) elections from July to October by modifying the LSC Final Draft (The full text of the proposed changes can be found at the ballot page).
To vote, please log in with your user account, then visit the ballot page:
Ratification of the LSC motion
Only LDraw organization members may cast one vote in the poll. The poll will conclude at 2359 EDT (GMT -0500), October 31, 2006 and the result will be announced shortly thereafter.
A call for public discussion has been posted at LUGNET to shift the LDraw Standards
Committee (LSC) elections from July to October by modifying the LSC Final Draft.
