Dat2QP

 
Description: The purpose of Dat2QP tool is to allow recovering existing LDraw patterns to easily modify or complete them using Quad2Dat.

Dat2QP converts 3D quads or triangles to 2D (projection on a plane) and writes the result using Quad2Dat file format (.qp). You may choose projection direction along X, Y (default) or Z axis.

Fractal Landscape Generator

  
Description: This is a two-step fractal landscape generator for LDraw. The first step is the program Fractal_Landscape, which makes a fractal landscape as a grey-scale bitmap (PGM). The second step is the program PGM_To_LDraw, which converts a grey-scale bitmap (in the PGM format) to a LDraw source file (.DAT).

The idea behind this two-step process is that you can go inbetween the two programs and edit the landscape yourself. - Make a level road, smoothen the landscape a bit, etc.

Intersector

 
Description: Intersector utility allows to cut a LDraw file along the intersection with another. Each set is provided to the utility as separate LDraw files. A third file containing the cutting result is created. All triangles, quads, lines and conditional lines in cut file are split where they meet triangles or quads of the cutter file. Note that intersection line is not calculated, you'll have to use Isecalc on the same input files to create it.

LDLink

 
Description: LDLink is a script that can "merge" or "unmerge" separate LDraw part libraries by creating or removing symbolic links in one library to the files of another. This could be useful if you prefer to keep official and unofficial LDraw parts in separate directories, but need to combine them temporarily to use programs that only recognize a single library.

LDLink requires Tcl, which comes with Mac OS X and most Linux distributions.

LDList

  
Description: This helper program for LDRAW (and associated programs) lets you search for the piece you want, by number, name, description or KEYWORDs. It also contains a preview window, so you can see that you have found the right piece.

The name of the found part can be copied to any text editor through the clipboard (CTRL-X). Also supports direct Drag&Drop to some programs.

LDPara

  
Description:

LDraw paraboloid primitive generator. Given the name of the output file, radius, depth, rotation step, and radial step, it generates a paraboloid in the output file. The program generates BFC compliant primitives (BFC CERTIFY CCW) and allows inversion of the paraboloid. LDPara is written in Visual Basic .NET 2003. Source code is available. Requres the Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 or newer from microsoft.com.

UPDATE: No longer command line! LDPara now has a simple GUI interface.

Inspired by BASIC, I made a little script compiler that can handle simple variables, FOR - TO - NEXT and other useful commands. Linetrim
