Read on if you are interested in some details about the 2009/2010 SteerCo. Different from previous governing bodies the current SteerCo has no chairman or a primus inter pares. The member that puts an issue for discussion, takes the lead on the topic. This includes calling for input, writing summaries, trying to reach a common point, keep the discussion going if a still stood is noticed, calling for a final vote and eventually announce the result on Lugnet and LDraw’s homepage.

This is a list of issues the 2008/2009 LDraw Steering Committee (Steerco) has agreed on:

  • 2009-01-20 Agreement to grant Larry Pieniazek Adminship for the LDraw Wiki
  • 2009-01-10 Assigned the James Jessiman Memorial Award 2008
  • 2008-09-17 Released a document about LDraw.org's position on the copyright of rendered images
  • 2009-09-02 Agreed to link the article "Preserving the Integrity of the LDraw name" directly from the home page
  • 2008-07-07 Agreed to grant Tim Gould and Willy Tschager part header editing right at the PT
  • 2008-06-29 Voted down a proposal which defined that issues regarding content and packaging of the LDraw Parts Library are SteerCo territory.
  • 2008-06-29 Agreed to nominate all SteerCo members to equally share each of the roles of Treasurer, Secretary and Chairperson.
  • 2008-05-24 Run the election for the LDraw LEGO Ambassador candidates and presented them to the company

  • 2008-01-17 Agreed that it is not desirable to have ads at the website
  • 2007-12-20 Assigned the James Jessiman Memorial Award 2007
  • 2007-10-31 Agreed to reword the LSC eligibility
  • 2007-10-27 Agreed that Travis Cobbs should investigate if LDView can substitute LDGlite as PT render engine.
  • 2007-09-14 Agreement to add exceptional criteria for LSC eligibility in the event that no Official LDraw Parts Update has been released within a year.
  • 2007-09-14 Agreement to set up Brickshelf/Flickr accounts in order to promote the MOTM contest.
  • 2007-08-27 Released the L(EGO)Draw parts obtained after two years negotiations with TLG.
  • 2007-08-25 Worded the announcement for the L(EGO)Draw parts.
  • 2007-07-31 Worded the text for the second CA-complaint All-In-One-Installer dialog.
  • 2007-07-31 Worded the text for the first CA-complaint All-In-One-Installer dialog.
  • 2007-06-21 Rejected a proposal to change the current default location for the All-In-One-Installer.
  • 2007-06-15 Worked out the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of James Jessiman's passing.
  • 2007-05-30 Worded the text for the Contributor Agreement (CA) "Readme" files.
  • 2007-05-05 Agreement to set up a LDraw/wiki as well as to investigate if there are better CMS solutions than the current PostNuke.
  • 2007-04-08 Voted down a proposal to update the design of the JJMA plaque.

  • 2007-02-19 Proposed a motion to the community about the accountability of Ldraw's key position.
  • 2007-02-02 Proposed a second draft of the Parts Library License and ReadMe files to the community
  • 2007-01-20 Agreement to add a Paypal donation button to the frontpage to support our host Peeron.com
  • 2006-12-16 Agreement with the PT Admins upon the appointment of a third PT Admin
  • 2006-12-14 Assigned the James Jessiman Memorial Award 2006
  • 2006-11-04 Proposed a draft of the Parts Library License and ReadMe files to the community
  • 2006-10-10 Use of the LDraw name on a poster printed by LEGO
  • 2006-10-03 Proposed a motion to the community to move the LSC elections from July to October.
  • 2006-09-03 Statement on the parts release delay in prospect of the Contributer Agreement.
  • 2006-08-27 Agreement upon a request by Orion Pobursky to set up a sourceforge project for all the LDraw specific website modules as well as the OMR - Official model repository
  • 2006-07-24 Official position on LDraw's future in light of LDD.
  • 2006-07-08 Agreement upon a new policy for PT held parts. Have a look at the LUGNET post.
  • 2006-06-21 Agreement upon the update of the Contact us page.
  • 2006-06-08 Agreement to forward a proposal to the LDraw.org Standards Committee (LSC) for changes in the LDraw file header to better support the Contributor Agreement.
