Welcome to Bram Lambrecht's   Dedicated to James Jessiman (1971-1997), creator of LDraw. Please visit the James Jessiman Memorial.  New!   Introduction   LDraw is an excellent program suite which allows users to document and display LEGO® models they have created. LDraw can be used to share the designs of LEGO® models with others, or it can be used to preserve the designs of models long after they have been taken apart in real life. You can do more with LDraw than just document the models you have built in real life - you can go beyond the real world. Build with colors that LEGO® doesn't release, or build with more pieces than you've ever seen before.     First, you will need to download LDraw. Then, go throught the lessons of the tutorial or download the tutorial for offline use. The LDraw program suite is made up of two main programs, LEdit for creating and editing models, and LDraw for drawing the final images of the model. If you want to read this tutorial off-line or print it out, please check out the Printable version. If you want a guide to all the key strokes in LEdit, check out the Key Reference. When you're finished with the tutorial, go to the End.

Downloading and Installing   Unfortunately, LDraw is only available for MS-DOS, which you can run from Windows (3.x, 95, NT, or 98). If you haven't already downloaded and installed LDraw, download now.

LEdit Tutorial  Begin!   If you want to create your own virtual models, you will need to learn how to use LEdit. The LEdit tutorial is broken up into four parts, Basics, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. After completing Beginning, you will have a solid basis for creating your own models. If you want to know more to be able to build more complicated models, go on to Intermediate and Advanced.
